As of July 2006, Weleda Naturals Ltd. took up its tasks as a 100-percent subsidiary of Weleda Arlesheim, Switzerland. Weleda develops and sells complementary medicines, holistic body care products and nutritional supplements. Weleda Naturals is a service provider to the international Weleda Group in the areas of medicinal plant cultivation and processing as well as international sourcing.

The new facilities for plant processing at the Weleda Gardens will produce the majority of tinctures and oil extracts for the European subsidiaries according to international best practice.

Weleda Naturals is responsible for the international sourcing of raw and base materials, packaging and products of toll manufacturing.

A new Event Center in the vicinity of the Weleda Garden and plant processing facilities is another part of Weleda Naturals. The center runs all guided tours on the premises of Weleda Germany. It also offers workshops and can be booked as a conference venue.
